Obviously everything cannot be learned from a tour that lasts a little more than an hour, but Sen. John Boozman said he was impressed with his first visit to the Booneville Human Development Center Friday afternoon.
“I’m very impressed,” said Boozman. “I’ve had the opportunity to be at the (Dale Bumpers) Research Center down the road but not up here at the main campus to see the mission they’ve got and how important that is.
“This institution has a great reputation and the families involved show (their) appreciation. But there is simply no substitute for being up here and talking to the staff about the great work they’re doing. Not only for the region but it is a very, very important facility for Arkansas.”
